ZipSnap is a simple command-line directory backup tool that creates compressed point-in-time snapshots, adding only new or modified files at each time. A ZipSnap archive is just a directory of catalogs (plain text files) and compressed volumes (regular Zip files). Snapshots may be restored by number (to reconstruct the entire directory). Free software written in Java. Runs on any OS with the Java Runtime Environment (JRE 5.0+).

Changes in version 1.1:
Time stamps included in catalog name, automatic selection of latest catalog, modified file listing format in catalog, neater screen output, automatic resynching of directories during restore
