Normally XP/Vista Home does not have a permissions editor (like Windows XP Pro), so user have to use console tool cacls.exe. XP Home Permissions manager is software provides a GUI to manage files and folders permissions on Microsoft Windows XP/Vista Home editions. Permissions manager is implemented as shell extension. This allows anyone to put "Security" property page to "Properties" page of any object shell interacts with.
